About the Role:
Amazon is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our London Development Centre. You will design, build, and maintain the infrastructure and deployment pipelines that power Amazon's services, working at scale with cutting-edge cloud technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment
- Build and maintain infrastructure using infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters and container orchestration
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions for production systems
- Automate operational tasks and develop internal tooling
- Participate in on-call rotation and incident response
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve deployment practices
- Optimize infrastructure costs and resource utilization
- Contribute to security hardening and compliance initiatives
- Document processes and create runbooks for operational procedures
Requirements:
- 3+ years of DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering experience
- Strong proficiency with AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS)
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, CodePipeline)
- Solid understanding of Linux systems and networking
- Experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
