About this role
Akicita Federal is recruiting board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologists to provide on-site anesthesia services to Veterans at the Albany Stratton VA Medical Center, 113 Holland Avenue, Albany, NY. This is a direct patient care role, with about 99.5% of time spent in clinical care across a broad surgical and procedural caseload. Selected physicians will be credentialed and privileged at the VA and scheduled as part of a multi-provider team supporting coverage seven days a week.
Schedule and Call
- On site Monday through Friday, 0700–1730. The OR schedule runs 0700–1700 or longer, plus emergencies.
- Home call on weeknights (1700–0700), weekends (Saturday 0700 to Monday 0700), and federal holidays (0700 to 0700 the following day). Call is shared across the provider team.
- On-call physicians must answer phone consults within 15 minutes and be on site within 60 minutes when called in. Candidates must live within a reasonable commute of the facility.
- Call-back cases are paid at the call rate.
