About this role

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Audiology Assistant to support our hearing care team in providing excellent patient service. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day clinic operations, patient preparation, hearing care services, scheduling, and administrative tasks while creating a welcoming experience for every patient.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients and assist with check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Prepare patients for hearing evaluations and appointments.
  • Assist audiologists and hearing care professionals with routine clinical activities as permitted by applicable regulations.
  • Perform basic hearing-related support tasks and equipment preparation.
  • Maintain and organize patient records and appointment information.
  • Schedule appointments and communicate with patients regarding upcoming visits.
  • Assist with hearing aid cleaning, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Educate patients on routine hearing-aid care and proper use of equipment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and patient-friendly clinical environment.
  • Handle phone calls, messages, and general administrative duties.
  • Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Provide friendly, professional customer service throughout the patient experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare, hearing care, medical office, or customer service environment is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Comfortable working with patients of different ages and backgrounds.
  • Basic computer and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
  • Compassionate, dependable, and professional approach to patient care.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with hearing aids or audiology services.
  • Medical office or patient-care experience.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and appointment scheduling systems.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
