An AI Engineer develops, trains, and deploys artificial intelligence models to automate tasks and solve complex business problems. They combine software engineering with data science to build, test, and maintain machine learning models—such as LLMs or neural networks—using frameworks like Python to create production-ready systems.Key ResponsibilitiesModel Development: Designing, training, and testing machine learning (ML), deep learning, and neural network models.Data Pipeline Engineering: Building infrastructure to collect, clean, and process data, ensuring it is ready for AI model consumption.System Integration: Embedding AI models into existing software systems, applications, and API endpoints.Performance Optimization: Tuning models and algorithms to improve accuracy, speed, and efficiency.Collaboration: Working with data scientists, stakeholders, and product managers to define AI strategies and deploy solutions.Required Skills and QualificationsProgramming Languages: Strong proficiency in Python (most common), C++, or Java.AI/ML Frameworks: Expertise in tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn.Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, neural networks, and NLP techniques.Education: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.Preferred QualificationsExperience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for deploying models.Understanding of data privacy and AI ethics.Experience in software development life cycles (SDLC)
