About this role
We are a well-established, Physician-Owned Cardiology practice in the West County area of St. Louis, MO. Our office serves a growing patient population with a full range of diagnostic and interventional services. We are seeking a experienced and motivated Office Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of our practice.
Practice Operations
•
Oversee and manage all day-to-day administrative and operational functions of the practice.
•
Manage patient intake, registration, insurance verification, and check-in/check-out processes.
•
Oversee maintenance of facilities, equipment, and supplies; coordinate with vendors and service providers.
•
Ensure the physical office environment meets safety, cleanliness, and compliance standards at all times.
Staff Management & Human Resources
•
Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and supervise all staff.
•
Conduct regular performance evaluations; manage disciplinary actions and terminations as needed.
•
Develop staff schedules and manage PTO, coverage, and overtime in line with practice needs.
Revenue Cycle & Financial Management
•
Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, including medical billing, coding accuracy, insurance claims submission, and accounts receivable.
•
Monitor claim denials.
•
Review and approve vendor invoices and manage accounts payable.
Compliance & Regulatory
•
Ensure full compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CMS guidelines, and applicable state and federal healthcare regulations
•
Oversee credentialing and re-credentialing of physicians and mid-level providers.
Technology & EHR Management
•
Serve as the primary administrator for the practice management and EHR system - eCW (eClinicalWorks)
•
Train staff on EHR workflows; identify inefficiencies and recommend system improvements
•
Coordinate with IT vendors for system maintenance, updates, and troubleshooting
Required
•
Experience of working in a Medical setting
•
Understanding medical billing, coding (CPT/ICD-10), and revenue cycle management
•
Proficiency with EHR and practice management systems
Preferred
•
Must have at least an Associate degree
•
Experience with cardiology-specific billing codes and diagnostic procedures (echocardiography, stress testing, Holter monitoring, catheterization)
•
Familiarity with insurance contract negotiation and managed care agreements
Annual base salary, commensurate with experience
