About the Role:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to join BCG X in London. You will work on building production-grade software solutions for BCG's consulting clients across industries including financial services, healthcare, retail, and energy.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications and APIs
- Build and deploy machine learning models and data pipelines for client projects
- Collaborate with data scientists, designers, and consultants in cross-functional teams
- Write clean, tested, and well-documented code following engineering best practices
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews
- Contribute to the development of reusable components and internal tools
- Work directly with clients to understand requirements and demonstrate solutions
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Requirements:
- 3+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong proficiency in Python, TypeScript, or Java
- Experience with web frameworks (React, Next.js, FastAPI, or Spring Boot)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to quality
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related field
- Consulting or client-facing experience a plus
