Position Highlights
As a Hematology/Oncology Physician at Martinsburg VA Medical Center, you will:

Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care to Veterans in both outpatient and inpatient settings

Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hematologic and oncologic conditions

Determine appropriate inpatient admissions versus outpatient management

Perform comprehensive medical and psychosocial assessments

Order and interpret diagnostic studies and formulate treatment plans

Coordinate specialty consultations within the VA and community care network

Provide ongoing chronic disease management and survivorship care

Deliver patient and family education through in-person visits, phone, mail, and secure messaging

Maintain accurate and timely documentation within CPRS

Supervise and teach medical residents and students

Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams

Potentially oversee nurse practitioners and physician assistants
