The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, Shreveport, LA, has an immediate opening for a full-time, board-certified/eligible Interventional Cardiologist. Highlights of this position include:
* Competitive Starting Salary $325,000 - $390,000
* Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm., may be required to work unscheduled hours in case of an emergency or when on call
* Performs inpatient or outpatient cardiovascular consultation services
* Perform standard diagnostic and cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization, ECG, angioplasty, etc.
* Duties will include clinical practice, and teaching Cardiology fellows, residents, and medical student
* Position includes a faculty appointment at the affiliated Louisiana State University Health and Science Center commensurate with qualifications
* Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
* Full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
* Board certified at least once in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology
* Experience in peripheral vascular intervention is preferred. Structural heart disease intervention and/or venous intervention training desirable
