Dillard’s, Inc. is seeking an attorney with experience in the real estate transaction area. This position reports to the Director of Real Estate and will provide a broad range of legal services to the Company, focusing on matters related to real estate, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, real estate disputes, real estate, real estate operations and associated areas of risk management. This position entails interaction with internal departments, negotiation with third parties, document drafting and supervision of outside counsel. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively across departments, including real estate, construction, operations and executive leadership. Responsibilities Draft, review and negotiate letters of intent, purchase and sale agreements, operating and easement agreements, leases, renewals and all related agreements. Handle various aspects of real estate administration (closing checklists, lease and purchase agreement summaries, key date trackers and commencement date memoranda). Review and negotiate estoppels, SNDAs and consents under existing agreements. Provide general operations advice based on existing governing documents, including lease provisions. Advise on legal aspects of Company transactions and operations, including commercial transactions and other matters. Review, negotiate, draft and advise on all types of contracts involving Company arrangements with developers, buyers, sellers. Landlords, tenants and other parties related to real estate matters. Manage outside counsel and coordinate multi-state real estate matters. Identify and mitigate legal and business risks related to retail operations and expansion. Preferred Requirements 3+ years of experience Experience with large or complex transactions with multiple parties. Deadline and detail-oriented. Ability to prioritize and multitask multiple projects simultaneously. Member of the Arkansas State Bar and in good standing.
