About this role
The Director of Business Operations is a senior leader responsible for translating Avint’s strategy into disciplined, scalable corporate operations. The Director leads the day-to-day business infrastructure that enables Delivery, Growth, Innovation, and Executive Leadership to operate effectively, with accountability for financial operations, human resources and recruiting operations, contracts and procurement, corporate compliance and quality, facilities and administrative operations, and enterprise business processes. As a member of the Avint Leadership Team, this role is expected to anticipate business needs, bring forward well-reasoned recommendations, establish clear operating standards and controls, and lead cross-functional initiatives from definition through measurable results. The Director serves as a trusted advisor to the CEO and leadership team and develops a high-performing Business Operations team capable of supporting Avint’s continued growth.
Own and continuously mature Avint’s business operations model, translating executive priorities into clear processes, decision rights, controls, owners, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
- Lead financial operations in partnership with Avint leadership and external accounting resources, including budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow visibility, project cost accounting, indirect/overhead cost management, accounts payable and receivable oversight, payroll coordination, banking/line-of-credit support, and timely, accurate management reporting.
- Establish disciplined monthly and annual financial operating rhythms; identify variances, risks, and trends early and present actionable recommendations and business cases to Executive Leadership.
- Lead human resources and people operations, including benefits and compensation administration, policy implementation, employee lifecycle processes, performance-management infrastructure, compliance training, Career Manager support, and difficult employee matters in coordination with leadership and counsel as appropriate.
- Oversee recruiting operations and workforce planning so hiring priorities, candidate flow, onboarding, and resource needs are visible, timely, and aligned with Delivery and Growth requirements.

- Serve as a corporate owner for quality and compliance programs, including CMMI and ISO activities, internal controls, audits, recurring quality reviews, metrics, corrective actions, risk/opportunity tracking, records retention, and continuous process improvement.
- Oversee corporate administrative operations, facilities, insurance, registrations, corporate tools/systems, and vendor relationships; identify opportunities to reduce friction, control overhead, and improve scalability.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning Business Operations, Delivery, Growth, Innovation, Security, and Executive Leadership; proactively resolve issues at the appropriate level rather than relying on executive escalation for routine operational decisions.
- Develop and maintain executive dashboards and operating metrics providing accurate visibility into financial health, workforce, recruiting, contracts, compliance, operational risk, and key corporate initiatives.
- Serve as Career Manager and people leader for Business Operations staff; set clear expectations, delegate effectively, coach and develop team members, build depth in critical functions, and hold the team accountable for accurate, timely, high-quality results.
