Dykema, a leading national law firm, is looking for a Trial Paralegal to join our San Antonio office. At least five years of trial experience. ABA-approved paralegal degree preferred. The ideal applicant has experience with civil trials and commercial litigation. This position requires interaction with clients, vendors, outside counsel, and lawyers in other Dykema offices; therefore, effective oral and written communication is essential. Additional required skills and experience include:
Key Responsibilities:


Strong technology experience, including Relativity, Trial Director, PowerPoint, and Excel
LexisNexis, cite-checking, and bluebook proficient
Experience with trial preparation, managing logistics, and assisting at trial
Experience drafting pleadings, responses to discovery
Assembling appendices for motions and appellate practice
Extensive knowledge of ESI protocol and e-discovery procedures
Experience working with Litigation Support departments and vendor professionals
Experience managing document intensive files
Performing substantive document reviews and preparing and tracking productions
Ability to proofread materials for contextual, grammatical, typographical or spelling errors
Ability to operate standard office equipment such as photocopiers
Must be reliable and a self-starter and thrive in a team-driven environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize assignments and delegate when necessary
Preference for TBLS, NALA or NFPA specialized certifications
Availability for overtime and travel for trial

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal
