Demolition Laborer Elder Demolition — Portland, OR Salary: $38,000 - $50,000 per year About Us: Elder Demolition based in Portland, Oregon is a fully licensed and insured commercial and industrial demolition contractor. We have certifications for hazardous waste handling as well as broad experience with LEED-certified green demolitions, demolition asset recovery and scrap metal demolition. In addition we provide scrap metal and concrete recycling services and clean up of hazardous materials on site. Customers can even offset the cost our demolition services by selling us their scrap metal. We work with general contractors and property owners to provide industrial and commercial demoli Position Overview: We are hiring Demolition Laborers to support our demolition crews on commercial and industrial projects. This is a physically demanding role with great pay and opportunities to advance. Responsibilities: - Assist with structural and selective demolition of buildings and interiors - Sort and separate materials for recycling (metal, concrete, wood) and disposal - Operate hand tools and small power tools for demolition tasks - Clean up job sites including sweeping, hauling debris, and loading trucks - Assist heavy equipment operators with spotting and site preparation - Follow all safety protocols, wear required PPE, and attend safety briefings - Help with setup and breakdown of dust control and erosion measures - Perform general labor tasks as directed by foremen and superintendents Qualifications: - No prior experience required — willing to train - Ability to perform heavy physical labor in a construction environment - Comfortable working around heavy equipment and in dusty conditions - Reliable transportation and punctual attendance - Valid driver's license preferred - Ability to lift 75+ lbs regularly - OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required Benefits: - Competitive hourly pay with overtime - Health insurance - Paid holidays - On-the-job training and safety certifications provided - Path to advancement (equipment operator, foreman) Elder Demolition is an equal opportunity employer.
