Roof Inspector / Quality Assurance Evergreen Renovations and Roofing — Portland, OR Salary: $50,000 - $68,000 per year About Us: Evergreen Renovations and Roofing is a service-first roofing and design-build contractor serving the greater Portland Metro area. We help local homeowners and businesses with everything from roof repairs and home improvement projects, to full roof replacements, ADU design and construction, and design-build services for whole home remodels. Position Overview: We are seeking a Roof Inspector / QA Specialist to ensure all completed roofing projects meet our quality standards, manufacturer warranties, and local building codes. You will conduct inspections, document findings, and work with crews to maintain our reputation for excellence. Responsibilities: - Inspect completed roofing installations for quality, code compliance, and warranty requirements - Conduct pre-installation inspections to assess existing roof conditions and identify potential issues - Document inspection findings with detailed reports, photos, and checklists - Work with roofing crews to correct deficiencies and improve workmanship - Coordinate with local building inspectors for permit sign-offs - Assist with manufacturer warranty inspections and registration - Train crews on quality standards and best installation practices - Utilize drone technology and thermal imaging for roof assessments - Maintain inspection records and quality metrics - Communicate with customers regarding inspection results and warranty information Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience in roofing installation or inspection - Knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and building codes - Strong attention to detail and documentation skills - Excellent communication skills for interaction with crews, customers, and inspectors - Comfortable working at heights on various roof types - Valid driver's license - FAA Part 107 drone pilot certification is a plus - Manufacturer certification (GAF, Owens Corning, CertainTeed) preferred Benefits: - Competitive salary - Company vehicle - Health and dental insurance - Paid time off and holidays - Professional development and certification support - Drone training provided Evergreen Renovations and Roofing is an equal opportunity employer.
