About this role
We’re seeking a Founding Engineer to design, build, and scale AI-powered products end-to-end. You’ll turn requirements into production features, develop reliable data/model pipelines, and ship performant services with strong testing, monitoring, and CI/CD. You’ll collaborate with product and design, balance speed with quality and security, and use modern languages, frameworks, and cloud platforms to deliver measurable impact—shipped features, clear metrics, and a steady cadence of improvements. Skills: proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript; backend frameworks (FastAPI, Node/Express) and basic front-end (React) a plus; cloud (AWS/GCP), Docker/Kubernetes; SQL (Postgres) and familiarity with NoSQL; Git-based CI/CD and automated testing; observability (logs/metrics/traces); security fundamentals (auth, OAuth, secrets). Nice to have: LLM APIs and retrieval/vector DBs, MLOps tools (MLflow/W&B, Argo/Kubeflow), streaming (WebSockets/WebRTC), and performance tuning (profiling, caching, batching, quantization).
