About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Director to lead our US Utilities sales efforts across the Western region. This senior leadership role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, building and managing a high-performing sales team, and driving revenue growth within the utilities sector.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the US Utilities market (West)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at utility companies, municipalities, and related organizations
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of account executives and sales representatives
- Identify new business opportunities and drive pipeline growth through prospecting, networking, and industry events
- Collaborate with product, marketing, and engineering teams to align solutions with customer needs
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular reporting to executive leadership
- Stay current on industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes affecting the utilities sector
- Negotiate and close complex enterprise deals with C-level stakeholders
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and client meetings
Requirements:
- 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience, with at least 5 years in utilities or energy sector
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and growing revenue in enterprise accounts
- Experience selling SaaS or technology solutions to utility companies
- Strong understanding of the utility industry, including grid modernization, smart grid, and regulatory frameworks
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 50%
