Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Demolition Operator to operate heavy equipment for commercial and industrial demolition projects. You will safely dismantle structures while following environmental regulations and company safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators, skid steers, and loaders for demolition and site cleanup
- Perform selective and complete building demolition per project specifications
- Sort and separate materials for recycling, salvage, and disposal
- Maintain daily equipment inspections and service logs
- Follow all OSHA, EPA, and DEQ safety and environmental regulations
- Coordinate with project managers and supervisors on daily work plans
- Assist with hazardous material identification and abatement preparation
- Ensure proper dust, noise, and erosion control measures are in place
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience operating heavy equipment in demolition or construction
- Proficiency with excavators (20-ton class or larger), skid steers, and wheel loaders
- Strong knowledge of demolition safety practices and techniques
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required
- Hazmat awareness training preferred
- Valid driver's license with CDL Class A or B preferred
- Ability to work in physically demanding and dusty environments
- Reliable and safety-conscious work habits
