About this role
Beaverhand is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and optimize the production ML systems that power our AI hiring platform.
What you'll do:
- Develop, train, and deploy models for natural-language understanding, scoring, and candidate ranking
- Own the full lifecycle: data pipelines, training, evaluation, real-time inference, and monitoring
- Partner with product and engineering to turn requirements into reliable, scalable systems
- Improve model quality, latency, and cost in production
What we're looking for:
- 2–5 years building ML systems that have shipped to production
- Strong Python and PyTorch; solid software-engineering fundamentals
- Experience with model serving, evaluation frameworks, and MLOps
- Bonus: LLMs, OCR, or speech/audio modeling
This is an on-site role at our downtown Portland office.
