Irrigation Technician Pete Wilson Stoneworks Inc. — Portland, OR Salary: $50,000 - $68,000 per year About Us: Dry-stack stonemasonry for diverse residential, commerical and public applications, serving landscape architects, designers, building contractors and homeowners. Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Irrigation Technician to install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems for residential and commercial properties. Responsibilities: - Install new irrigation systems including sprinklers, drip irrigation, and smart controllers - Diagnose and repair irrigation problems including broken heads, leaks, valve failures, and wiring issues - Perform seasonal system startups and winterizations - Program and adjust irrigation controllers for optimal water efficiency - Conduct backflow preventer testing and certification - Perform system audits and recommend efficiency improvements - Coordinate with landscape crews on project installations - Maintain accurate service records and material usage logs - Provide customers with system operation instructions and watering recommendations Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience in irrigation installation and repair - Strong knowledge of sprinkler systems, drip irrigation, and smart controllers - Oregon Backflow Assembly Tester certification preferred - Ability to read irrigation plans and blueprints - Troubleshooting skills for electrical and hydraulic irrigation issues - Valid driver's license - Knowledge of water conservation practices and local watering regulations - Oregon Landscape Contractor's License or ability to obtain is a plus Benefits: - Competitive pay - Company vehicle and tools - Health insurance - Paid holidays and vacation - Certification support and training Pete Wilson Stoneworks Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
