Principal Demand Growth, Amazon Ads Strategy and Partnerships
Principal Demand Growth, Amazon Ads Strategy and Partnerships at Amazon — New York, NY, US
- Company: Amazon
- Location: New York, NY, US
- Posted: 2026-06-18
About this role
Ready to reshape the future of digital advertising? Amazon Ads isn't just competing in the ad tech space—we're redefining it. We're looking for a bold, entrepreneurial partnerships leader to unlock new demand sources and revenue channels that expand Amazon's total addressable advertising market.
The Principal Demand lead within the Ads Strategy and BD team is responsible for identifying, structuring, and scaling partnerships that bring new advertiser demand into Amazon's ecosystem. This includes third-party syndicated demand, local advertising, and emerging revenue channels. This individual will own the end-to-end partnership lifecycle—from market mapping and opportunity identification through deal structuring, technical integration design, and scaled execution. The role focuses on partnerships that unlock previously untapped advertiser budgets—whether from new advertiser categories, programmatic demand aggregators, or innovative supply-side integrations—by securing inventory priority, preferential pricing, and monetization models that expand Amazon's advertising reach beyond its core advertiser base.
Amazon is uniquely positioned to serve local, regional, and midmarket advertisers by connecting premium CTV and streaming video inventory with a full omnichannel suite, underpinned by first-party shopping signals and closed-loop measurement. This role builds the partnerships that unlock CTV and omnichannel video demand from this customer set. The ideal candidate is a seasoned business development or partnerships executive who combines strategic vision with technical product fluency. You are comfortable operating at the intersection of advertising technology, demand aggregation, and marketplace economics. You bring deep understanding of demand-side dynamics, programmatic infrastructure, local and midsize markets, and the ability to identify whitespace opportunities and architect new partnership constructs that deliver measurable revenue impact at scale.
Key job responsibilities
- Be the strategic connective tissue between Amazon Ads' product and sales leaders and the partners best positioned to unlock local, regional, and midmarket demand, including agencies, resellers, SIs, and martech innovators serving the long tail
- Design partnership models that don't exist yet, including creative commercial structures, flexible pricing, and demand/supply constructs built for smaller, variable budgets and the economics of serving local advertisers at scale
- Crack the hardest problems in ad tech by building identity, targeting, and measurement solutions that prove ROI at local spend levels. This includes hyper-local targeting and outcome-based currencies like store visits, app installs, and cost-per-action, all in a privacy-first world powered by Amazon's first-party shopping signals and retail insights
- Own relationships with the partners who aggregate local and midmarket demand, such as agencies, channel partners, and platforms, aligning on investment strategies, negotiating preferential access, and driving adoption of Amazon's DSP, CTV and omnichannel video, retail media, and measurement suite
- Forge alliances with system integrators and reseller/channel partners to embed Amazon Ads into the tools and workflows local and midmarket advertisers already use, making us the default rather than the afterthought
- Scout the frontier by proactively engaging emerging martech and local-media players, assessing where the market is heading, and structuring collaborations that extend Amazon Ads' reach into underserved advertiser segments
- Stay ahead of seismic industry shifts like data clean rooms, identity resolution, and AI-driven media buying, and turn them into advantages for serving the fragmented, long-tail advertiser base before competitors react
- Drive real revenue impact by accelerating deal velocity, unlocking inorganic growth, and building scalable go-to-market motions that bring new local and midmarket demand into Amazon's ecosystem
- Shape the industry itself by influencing best practices, challenging legacy models built for national and enterprise buyers, and establishing Amazon Ads as the partnership of choice for unlocking CTV and omnichannel video demand across the long tail
