About the Role:
Riverty is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our fintech engineering team in Berlin. You will design and build scalable payment and financial technology solutions using .NET and Azure cloud services.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop microservices using .NET 8/C# and Azure
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs for payment processing and BNPL services
- Implement secure, PCI-compliant payment workflows
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and QA engineers in agile sprints
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
- Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions
- Optimize application performance and database queries
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements
Requirements:
- 5+ years of professional .NET/C# development experience
- Strong experience with Azure cloud services (App Service, Functions, Service Bus)
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization
- Proficiency with SQL Server and Entity Framework
- Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automated testing
- Experience in fintech, payments, or financial services preferred
- Good English communication skills (German is a plus)
- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent
