Saint Peter's Healthcare System is seeking a Child Abuse Pediatrician to join our team at The Children's Hospital, which is a regional tertiary center located in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Saint Peter's University Hospital operates the Dorothy B. Hersh Child Protection Center (CPC), a state-designated facility that serves eight counties in central New Jersey.
Opportunity Highlights

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, psychologists, and social workers

Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed medical and psychological assessments for suspected physical, emotional, and sexual abuse, as well as medical neglect

Present on recognizing and responding to abuse for medical residents, law enforcement, school personnel, and DYFS social workers

Provide forensic evidence documentation, case consultation to prosecutors, and serve as an expert or fact witness in court testimonies and depositions

Requirements

Successful completion of an appropriate ACGME or AOA accredited Residency in Pediatrics and Fellowship trained in Child Abuse Pediatrics

Board certification or eligible in Pediatrics and Child Abuse Pediatrics

MD or DO license in the State of New Jersey

DEA and CDS license

Must qualify for Saint Peter's University Hospital Liability insurance
