About Morning Consult
Morning Consult is a global decision intelligence company changing how modern leaders make smarter, faster, better decisions. The company pairs its proprietary high-frequency data with applied artificial intelligence to better inform decisions on what people think and how they will act.
This role is available in any of our office locations (Washington, DC; New York, NY; Chicago, IL) or can be based remotely. Join us in the office for catered lunch on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays!
About the Role
We're seeking a Senior Marketing Operations Specialist to own and evolve the systems, strategy, and data infrastructure that power Morning Consult's marketing and revenue engine. You'll set the standard for how we run HubSpot, govern our marketing data, and connect campaign activity to measurable pipeline outcomes — with Salesforce as your key integration partner.
This is a high-impact IC role for someone who doesn't just keep the lights on, but actively raises the bar: proactively identifying gaps in our tech stack, driving improvements before they're asked for, and shaping how Marketing and RevOps operate together.
The Business Operations Team
Business Operations is the connective tissue of Morning Consult's revenue organization. We own the systems, processes, and reporting that power the commercial engine — and we bring structure to ambiguity across Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Finance, and beyond.
What You'll Be Working On:
HubSpot Platform Ownership
- Primary HubSpot admin across Marketing, Sales, and Operations Hubs: configuration, data architecture, user management, and platform health
- Build and maintain automation workflows, lifecycle stage logic, lead scoring, nurture sequences, list segmentation, and own the roadmap for platform improvements, not just maintenance
- Own data governance: field standards, deduplication, database hygiene, and compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and CAN-SPAM
- Evaluate and recommend new HubSpot capabilities and adjacent tools; make the case for investment or consolidation based on ROI and operational need
CRM Integration & Salesforce Alignment
- Own the HubSpot–Salesforce integration: bidirectional sync, lead routing, MQL/SQL definitions, and attribution
- Monitor integration health; resolve sync failures before they affect reporting or sales workflows
- Serve as the marketing systems authority in RevOps conversations; define requirements, not just execute them
Reporting & Dashboards
- Design and maintain dashboards in HubSpot and Salesforce covering funnel health, campaign performance, pipeline contribution, and MQL conversion
- Own reporting cadences (weekly snapshots, monthly reviews, and QBR-ready summaries), delivering insight-driven narratives rather than just raw numbers and surfacing proactive recommendations rather than just status updates.
- Define and document the marketing data model and metric hierarchy; ensure consistency of definitions across Marketing, RevOps, and Finance
Campaign & Process Operations
- Own the operational layer of campaign execution: list pulls, workflow QA, email setup, UTM governance, suppression logic, and post-campaign reporting
- Support ABM operations for enterprise accounts using enrichment and routing tools (Clay, ZoomInfo, LeanData)
- Own the process improvement roadmap — identify, prioritize, build, and document automation initiatives with measurable time/cost impact
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Operate as the marketing systems authority for cross-functional stakeholders — shaping how Marketing and RevOps design processes together, not just implementing requests
- Help stakeholders scope requests, assess tradeoffs, and self-serve through training and documentation, and build scalable enablement resources so the team grows with you.
About You and What You've Done:
- 5–7 years in Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations, or a closely related role at a B2B SaaS, data, or technology company
- Deep HubSpot expertise and a track record of platform ownership — you've built and scaled the system, not inherited it; you can articulate architectural decisions and their tradeoffs; certifications expected
- Solid grasp of the HubSpot–Salesforce integration; comfortable in Salesforce for reports, record inspection, and joint process work
- Strong dashboard and reporting skills, advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data manipulation and ad hoc analysis, and experience defining metric frameworks rather than just pulling numbers.
- Familiarity with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and UTM governance — you understand how campaigns get measured end to end
- Experience with ABM and enrichment/routing tools (Clay, ZoomInfo, LeanData), and you've operationalized ABM motions, not just supported them
- Working knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and CAN-SPAM as applied to marketing databases
- AI-native working style — you use Claude, ChatGPT, or similar to accelerate operational work and know where human judgment still matters
- Systems thinker who proactively identifies what's broken before being asked — and builds the case for fixing it
- Independent, clear communicator who can translate technical logic for non-technical partners, and you've influenced stakeholders at the Director level and above
Note: We view the above section as a guide, not a checklist. We welcome diverse and non-traditional backgrounds — if you're open to building new skills, we'd love to hear from you.
