About this role

Shaped is building the real-time context engine for AI. Vector databases retrieve documents - we retrieve decisions.

As a Growth Marketer at Shaped, you'll own awareness: making sure every developer and platform team building with AI knows who we are and what we do. That means writing the posts, shipping the videos, showing up where developers hang out, and growing our website traffic, social following, and branded search. This requires someone who can speak engineer and also make content that actually lands - a killer combo!

Experience / qualities

3+ years in growth, content, or developer marketing (bonus if it was at a technical or AI company)

You can write content and record videos - blog posts, launch copy, social, scripts, all of it

You speak "Engineer." You won't write production code, but you can hold a conversation about the cutting-edge

You're genuinely into the developer community: you know why HN rolls its eyes at studio-quality marketing and why a good meme outperforms a polished ad

Execution bias: you'd rather post the scrappy version today than the perfect version next quarter

What you'll be measured on

Website visits

LinkedIn and X followers

Branded search volume for "shaped.ai" on Google

Example responsibilities

Post daily from the Shaped account on LinkedIn, X, and YouTube, and get the team resharing

Publish to our blog, including pairing with engineers to ship case studies and technical writeups

Make launch content - videos, animations, copy that explains what we shipped and why it matters

Create assets for paid on Google, Reddit, X, and LinkedIn

Show up in the communities where developers actually are: Reddit, Hacker News, dev.to and post like a human, not a brand

Organize meetups at our NYC office and attend events

Ship short-form video: Reels, Shorts, TikTok - that grabs attention on developer-focused topics

Ship long-form video - engineer interviews, Shaped tutorials, deep dives
