About the Role:
Sky is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Content Analytics team. You will use advanced analytics and machine learning to help Sky make better decisions about content acquisition, programming, and audience engagement across our platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develop machine learning models to predict content performance, audience engagement, and viewer behavior
- Build recommendation algorithms and personalization systems for Sky's streaming platform
- Analyze viewing data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for content strategy
- Create dashboards and reporting tools to communicate insights to content and commercial teams
- Design and analyze A/B tests for content discovery and user experience features
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy models into production
- Work with editorial and programming teams to translate data insights into actionable recommendations
- Present findings to senior leadership and contribute to strategic planning
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in data science or machine learning
- Strong proficiency in Python (pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch)
- Experience with recommendation systems, NLP, or time series analysis
- Solid SQL skills and experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hive)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Strong understanding of statistics and experimental design
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present to non-technical stakeholders
- BSc/MSc in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics)
