Today, our headquarters remain in Portland, Oregon with regional offices in Oakland, California and Seattle, Washington. Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for our residential and commercial projects. You will review project plans and specifications, solicit subcontractor bids, and develop competitive proposals that win work while maintaining profitability. Responsibilities: - Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate cost estimates - Perform quantity takeoffs using digital takeoff software (PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar) - Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and material supplier bids - Prepare comprehensive bid packages and proposals for project owners and general contractors - Analyze historical project data to improve estimating accuracy - Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and bid openings - Collaborate with project managers and superintendents during preconstruction - Maintain organized files and databases of vendor pricing, project bids, and bid results - Stay current on material pricing trends, labor rates, and market conditions Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in construction estimating - Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and labor productivity - Proficiency with takeoff and estimating software - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings - Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred - Experience with Procore or similar project management software is a plus Benefits: - Competitive salary with bonus potential - Health, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) with employer match - Paid time off and holidays - Professional development opportunities - Collaborative and supportive work environment Stagecraft Industries Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
