About the Role:
Tesco is seeking a Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. You will support financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities that inform strategic decision-making across the UK's largest retailer.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analysis against budget and forecast
- Build and maintain financial models to support business planning and investment decisions
- Develop dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel
- Support the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
- Analyze cost structures and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Prepare financial packs for board meetings and investor presentations
- Partner with commercial and operational teams to provide financial insights
- Support ad-hoc analysis for strategic projects and capital allocation decisions
- Assist with external reporting requirements and audit processes
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or corporate finance
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or part-qualified)
- Advanced Excel skills including financial modeling
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
