Finish Carpenter The Lynch Company — Portland, OR Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 per year About Us: Difficult fabrication and installations are our specialties! We work with all types of metals and finishes, from polished stainless steel food processing equipment, to mild steel mill platforms and ladders. From machinery manufacturing to marine construction and so much more it would be difficult to imagine a fabrication or installation situation too difficult for us to not only perform, but exceed our customers' expectations. Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Finish Carpenter to install trim, molding, cabinets, doors, and other finish elements in residential and commercial construction projects. This role requires precision craftsmanship and attention to detail. Responsibilities: - Install interior and exterior trim including baseboards, crown molding, casing, and chair rail - Hang and adjust interior and exterior doors - Install cabinets, countertops, and built-in furniture - Install stair railings, handrails, and balusters - Read blueprints and specifications to plan installations - Take precise measurements and make accurate cuts using miter saws, table saws, and routers - Ensure all work is plumb, level, and meets quality standards - Fill nail holes, caulk joints, and prepare surfaces for painting - Coordinate with other trades and maintain a clean work area Qualifications: - 3+ years of experience in finish carpentry - Expert knowledge of trim, molding, and cabinet installation techniques - Proficiency with miter saws, table saws, routers, and hand tools - Ability to read blueprints and architectural drawings - Strong mathematical skills for layout and measurement - Excellent attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship - Valid driver's license and own basic hand tools - Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on ladders Benefits: - Competitive pay based on experience - Health and dental insurance - Paid holidays and vacation - Steady year-round work - Company power tools provided - Professional development opportunities The Lynch Company is an equal opportunity employer.
