Job Responsibilities
• Demonstrates the ability to perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
• Demonstrates adequate radiation safety practices as it relates to both patients as well as co‐workers.
• Participates in all Radiology Management System functions pertaining to patient procedures.
• Provides patient education as required.
• Maintains effective communications with referring physician and radiologist staff to provide for the efficient delivery of CT procedures.
• Abides by the service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology in interactions with patients, visitors, employees or other customers.
• Adheres to appropriate and accepted clinical principles, methods and procedures while performing CT procedures.
Position Qualifications
• Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology
• NYS Radiology Technologist license and ARRT
Preferred:
• NYS Injection certification
• One (1) year experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a full service hospital
• ARRT CT Registration
Work Environment
• All work is performed in the CT Suite which is air conditioned as well as heated, area is occasionally subject to fumes. Delivery of services is through the use of radiation to produce images for physician readings.
