Responsibilities
•
Coordinate daily nursing staffing across all units to ensure coverage aligns with approved staffing plans and real time operational needs.
•
Communicate staffing information clearly with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams to support timely decision making and collaboration.
•
Prepare daily shift‐based staffing summaries to provide leadership with actionable visibility into workforce utilization.
•
Maintain and update department schedules in scheduling software to ensure accurate data integrity for forecasting, reporting, and optimization.
•
Perform clerical and administrative tasks including phone management, message routing, documentation, and record maintenance to support smooth office operations.
•
Support daily operations of the Clinical Resource Office by assisting with bed census management and coordinating patient transfers to optimize patient flow.
•
Collect and enter transfer center consult data and operational metrics to support reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement.
•
Deliver high quality customer service using de‐escalation techniques and professional communication to promote trust, clarity, and positive working relationships.
•
Follow organizational policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and consistent operational standards.
•
Execute additional assigned tasks to support departmental efficiency and organizational goals
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
•
High school diploma or equivalent
•
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar electronic tools
•
1 year experience working in a healthcare related field
? Preferred:
•
Previous healthcare scheduling experience in acute setting
•
Associate's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or related field
