Position Overview: We are looking for a Cabinet Refinishing Specialist with expertise in painting and refinishing kitchen cabinets, built-ins, and fine woodwork. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and advanced finishing skills. Responsibilities: - Refinish and repaint kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, and built-in furniture - Properly prep cabinet surfaces including degreasing, sanding, and priming - Apply finish coats using HVLP spray systems for a factory-smooth finish - Mix custom colors and match existing finishes - Remove and reinstall cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware - Protect all surrounding surfaces during cabinet refinishing projects - Inspect finished work for quality and make touch-ups as needed - Communicate with homeowners about color selections, timelines, and care instructions - Maintain spray equipment and workshop area Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience in cabinet refinishing or fine finish painting - Expert-level spray finishing skills (HVLP required) - Strong knowledge of primers, paints, lacquers, and conversion varnishes for cabinetry - Excellent color matching and blending ability - Meticulous attention to detail - Valid driver's license - Ability to work in clients' homes with professionalism and care Benefits: - Competitive salary - Health insurance - Paid time off - Company vehicle and spray equipment provided - Ongoing training in latest cabinet finishing techniques Veenhuizen Painting Specialties is an equal opportunity employer.
