We’re a YC-backed team with leadership from Best Egg, PayPal, Divvy, and Lending Club—on a mission to modernize legacy call centers with real-time AI agents that drive higher conversions, lower costs, and better borrower outcomes. The Opportunity We’re hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to help scale our AI voice agents as we move from product-market fit into rapid growth. This is a hands-on, client-facing role responsible for translating real-world requirements into production Voice AI agents. You’ll work closely with customers, sales, and engineering to: Translate customer-specific requirements and compliance constraints into robust, testable logic Write tools and backend integrations that allow agents to interface with external systems (APIs, CRMs, payment platforms, etc.) Tune latency, responsiveness, and voice quality using platforms like OpenAI, ElevenLabs, and Deepgram Design A/B tests to optimize business outcomes and regulatory adherence You’ll thrive in this role if you: A proven track record of building software in TypeScript or Python Experience building and consuming APIs Have experience working with AI systems, orchestration frameworks, or LLM evaluation tools Excited by in the unique challenges of building low-latency, interruptible real-time voice systems Are motivated by delivering measurable impact in regulated, high-trust domains like finance or healthcare Enjoy operating close to the customer and iterating quickly based on live data and feedback Want to be part of a high-ownership, execution-focused team solving meaningful problems Nice to Have Familiarity with voice design, turn-taking, and dialog systems Experience in financial services, healthcare, or other compliance-heavy environments Fluency in Spanish
