Compensation
$48,840 - $86,000 yearly
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys in preparing and maintaining legal documents, pleadings, and discovery to ensure seamless case management
Coordinate with clients and other parties to gather necessary information and documentation for probate cases
Organize information onto the database, in excel sheets, and otherwise for accurate and up to date contact, discovery, timeline, and other information as needed by attorneys.
Draft and file legal documents with courts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines
Maintain organized case files and databases, ensuring all information is up-to-date and easily accessible
Conduct legal research on Lexis Plus to support attorneys in developing case strategies and arguments
Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and answering inquiries to enhance client satisfaction
Work in Clio to track time and save documents
Utilize emails for correspondence
Organize e-files. bookmark, redact and batesmark pdf's and scan documents with OCR to be shared with the team
Answer telephones, make interoffice memos, and coordinate potential new client calls with attorneys
Assist the team as needed
Qualifications
Experience in preparing and maintaining legal documents, pleadings, and discovery for seamless case management.
Ability to coordinate effectively with clients and other parties to gather necessary information for probate cases.
Proven track record of organizing and maintaining accurate databases and case files for easy access and up-to-date information.
Proficiency in drafting and filing legal documents with courts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines.
Strong legal research skills using Lexis Plus to support attorneys in developing case strategies and arguments.
Excellent communication skills to provide updates and answer inquiries, enhancing client satisfaction.
Experience with Clio for tracking time and document management, ensuring efficient workflow and organization.
An ABA-approved paralegal certification
Knowledge of relevant firm computer software programs (e.g., Word, Outlook, Excel, Clio), with the ability to learn new software and operating systems
Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Receptive to feedback and can demonstrate the ability to incorporate said feedback into future workflow
Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities
Ability to organize and prioritize work
Ability to work well under pressure in a demanding and fast-paced environment
Ability to work well independently, as well as effectively within a team
Ability to synthesize information to prioritize and organize tasks
Demonstrates a high level of professionalism

Bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials; relevant work experience a plus
