Location: Cheyenne, WY 82009 Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice in Cheyenne, WY. The ideal candidate will assist dentists during patient procedures, ensure a clean and organized work environment, and provide excellent patient care and support. Key Responsibilities
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient procedures and ensure all instruments are sterilized and ready for use.
• Assist the dentist during dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and providing other support as needed.
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist.
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following dental treatments and procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts as necessary.
• Schedule patient appointments and manage front desk duties when required.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive dental care. Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Wyoming Radiology Certification.
• Current CRP, OSHA, and HIPAA certifications.
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred.
• Certification as a Dental Assistant (CDA) is a plus.
• Previous experience in a dental office is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and terminology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills for managing patient records and scheduling. Experience in Dentrix, Microsoft, Google Workspace, and Dexis is a plus. Work Environment
This position is based in a dental office located in Cheyenne, WY. The role requires standing for extended periods and working closely with patients and dental staff. One evening shift a week and 2 Saturday shifts per month will be required. How to Apply
