Electrical Apprentice Young Electric LLC — Portland, OR Salary: $38,000 - $50,000 per year About Us: Young Electric is a two generation Electrical Contractor that has provided commercial and residential electrical service in the Portland area for over 20 years. Our licensed and bonded electricians are skilled in commercial & residential construction/alteration, design/build, service and known for bringing projects in on-time and on-budget. Position Overview: We are hiring an Electrical Apprentice to learn the electrical trade under the supervision of our experienced journeyman and master electricians. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn and build a career in one of the highest-demand skilled trades. Responsibilities: - Assist journeyman electricians with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems - Pull wire through conduit systems and cable trays - Install boxes, brackets, supports, and conduit fittings - Help with panel installations, device terminations, and fixture mounting - Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area - Attend required apprenticeship classes and training sessions - Follow all safety protocols and NEC code requirements - Learn to read blueprints and electrical diagrams Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED required - Enrolled in or willing to enroll in an Oregon-approved electrical apprenticeship program - Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn - Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure - Valid driver's license and reliable transportation - Ability to work in physically demanding conditions - Good communication skills and positive work attitude Benefits: - Competitive apprentice wages that increase with experience - Health and dental insurance - Paid apprenticeship training - Tools and equipment provided - Clear career path to Journeyman Electrician - Supportive learning environment with experienced mentors Young Electric LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
