Service Electrician Young Electric LLC — Portland, OR Salary: $60,000 - $82,000 per year About Us: Young Electric is a two generation Electrical Contractor that has provided commercial and residential electrical service in the Portland area for over 20 years. Our experience and attention to detail make us the best at installation and upgrades of critical electrical & lighting systems. Our licensed and bonded electricians are skilled in commercial & residential construction/alteration, design/build, service and known for bringing projects in on-time and on-budget. Position Overview: We are seeking a Service Electrician to handle service calls, troubleshoot electrical issues, and perform repairs for our residential and commercial customers. You will work independently, providing excellent customer service while solving complex electrical problems. Responsibilities: - Respond to service calls to troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in residential and commercial settings - Perform panel upgrades, circuit additions, and electrical system modifications - Install generators, EV charging stations, and smart home systems - Diagnose and repair lighting, power, and control system failures - Provide customers with accurate assessments, recommendations, and cost estimates - Maintain organized service vehicle with proper inventory of parts and materials - Complete service tickets, invoices, and inspection reports accurately - Coordinate with dispatch and office staff to manage daily schedule - Ensure all work meets NEC and Oregon electrical codes Qualifications: - Valid Oregon Journeyman Electrician license required - 3+ years of experience in electrical service and troubleshooting - Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills - Excellent customer service and communication abilities - Ability to work independently and manage own schedule - Valid driver's license with clean driving record - Comfortable working in residential and commercial environments - Experience with service management software is a plus Benefits: - Top pay for qualified candidates - Company service vehicle and fuel card - Health, dental, and vision insurance - Paid time off and holidays - 401(k) with company match - Performance bonuses - Tool allowance and continuing education Young Electric LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
